Weight Pull

We run a Weight Pull competition for members and visitors. The idea of the competition is to see which dogs pulls the highest load compared to its body weight.

There are two groups, novice and open, with slightly differing rules for both. Dogs cannot compete in the open event until pulling three (3) qualifying weights in the novice group, and must be over 18 months of age.

Whilst this is a competition, our focus is on having a fun day out with our dogs. We put the welfare of the dog first, and our enjoyment second at these events. You're welcome to come along and watch, or let your dog participate. It's not just for Malamutes and Huskies either. Other breeds can, and do, participate.

We do ask that dogs are kept on lead or tie-out stakes while at the event.
